Steve Cook is the bassist/vocalist for Phil Vassar and I’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with him the past two years as part of our Christmas Tours. We both gravitate toward all aspects of music, including gear and had talked about bass and how the Kemper can be utilized for such low purposes. We kicked it around and back and forth and finally found time to go through the process of profiling all of Steve’s great bass preamp collection and even did road testing this past tour as Steve used his profiles on the Kemper the whole Christmas tour. It was a resounding success at foh and in the studio, so we’re happy to share them with you now.

If you want British tones, you can use profiles of a ’77 Mars JMP combo, Sur LS68, or Voice AC15. For California tones, you have Masa Hartbr8ker, TweedBass 410, Masa 50 cal, or Shah amp profiles. Boutique amps such as the Swolt AF, Comet C30, VTH D50, and Match PHX, along with 80’s rock with Rokman and the rare BadBot. I try to make compilation packs that cover anything you would need so if you only buy this pack, you can cover a huge variety of tones from clean to lead sounds. The Profiler Player Pack 1 is an excellent starter pack for those users new to the Kemper. It is designed and optimized for use with the Kemper Profiler Player, the little brother to the full Kemper line. It holds 50 rigs and has 4 fx slots so it can cover more than enough tones for a typical gig. I compiled 25 of my favorite and most-used amp rigs from my 10+ years of profiling so this is like a "greatest hits" in addition to being an excellent starter pack. If you have purchased many of my packs before these might be redundant, but I have made tweaks to every rig so they aren't identical to the original. I even incorporated 8 Liquid Profiles, both new and converted to this pack, where I find that the Liquid Profiles added a functionality I couldn't get with the generic tone stack and vice versa. The end result is a small unit that has all of the same sounds I've been using myself over the past few years. Enjoy!
Rack Pack contains 58 profiles from 80's tube-driven rack preamps from Marsh and ADA.
