65 Ace30 Pack contains 33 Kemper studio profiles of a 1965 Vox AC30 amplifier.
The AC30 is a classic amp and has been on countless recordings and on almost every stage since it came out. These amps are known for their chimey cleans as well as their creamy overdrive and this amp is an excellent example. I was most impressed by its touch-sensitive dynamics. It can go from clean to overdrive just by hitting the strings harder or softer, and the soft EL84 clipping is what made these amps so famous.
These profiles were made with both the stock 212 combo cabinet with nicely-broken-in UK Celestion Blues for the British sound purists for live and studio work, and my trusty 3rd Power Switchback 212 cabinet for those player who may want a slightly different flavor or are switching between amp sounds frequently. The clips were recorded directly into ProTools from the KPA analog XLR outs via an Apogee Ensemble interface with no eq, compression or processing of any kind using my Tom Anderson Cobra with 3 Duncan Antiquity P90 pickups.
